Technical Manager
Our client is a leading producer and exporter of table grapes along with pecans, and raisins. They are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Manager to take full ownership of compliance, technical systems, and operational oversight, while upholding their core values of integrity, energy, and value. This position will be based in (Western Cape and/or Northern Cape).
Start Date: 1 September 2025 (Remote collaboration prior to start encouraged for smooth transition)
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure and manage full compliance with GLOBALG.A.P., SIZA, LEAF Marque, FSMA, Tesco
• Nurture, and other relevant audits
• Implement and manage technical systems, including chemicals, fertigation & budget tracking
• Coordinate quality control processes and export claim handling
• Support HR compliance, seasonal recruitment coordination, and training alignment
• Foster cross-department collaboration and take initiative in problem-solving
• and workflow optimization

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical, compliance, or management role within agriculture
• Strong knowledge of food safety and agricultural standards
• Advanced Excel, data analysis, and system development (OpenAI & IT integration experience beneficial)
• Confident communicator and effective leader with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to travel regularly between Western Cape and Northern Cape operations (if needed)
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Able to work independently and take full ownership of critical technical processes
