Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
Develop and execute the company's technology roadmap in line with business goals.
Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to engineers, developers, and support staff.
Align technology initiatives with organizational priorities and customer needs.
Team & Project Management
Manage, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary technical team.
Oversee technical project planning, execution, and delivery within timelines and budgets.
Ensure collaboration across departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
Systems & Infrastructure
Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
Ensure system availability, scalability, and performance optimization.
Oversee disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans.
Security & Compliance
Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, such as ISO 27001, POPIA, or GDPR.
Manage risk assessments, audits, and security incident response processes.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage third-party service providers, software licenses, and vendor contracts.
Act as a technical liaison between business units, leadership, and technology teams.
Operational Excellence
Monitor and report on KPIs related to system uptime, incident response, and service performance.
Optimize IT processes through automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT leadership, technical management, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and networking.
Proven experience managing technical teams and complex projects.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, RMM tools, ITIL frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience with security tools, identity management, and system administration.
Preferred Certifications (Advantageous)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect / Azure Administrator
Cisco CCNA/CCNP or similar networking certifications
ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
PMP, Prince2, or Agile Project Management
Security+ or other cybersecurity certifications
