We are seeking a motivated individual to join our OE Trailer Sales team as a Technical Sales Representative, based in Johannesburg.

What you could expect as a Technical Field Sales Representative:
Participate in development of go to market strategy to increase ZF technology installed by Trailer builders and deliver on sales targets (# EBS sold, conversion of ABS to EBS)
Establish, build and maintain relationship with Trailer builder to address their customer (current and new fleets). Including in surrounding sub Saharan countries
Consult and support trailer sales team with technical application knowledge
Drive intelligent trailer program features and functions penetration, incl. marketing ZF products, sales and value proposition
Provide external product training to trailer builder and its customers
Anticipation of market trends
Influence fleet specification of Trailer systems with ZF being a preferred supplier
Maintain and keep high technical knowledge of ZF CV product range
Upon customers request provide vehicle "health checks" to optimize trailer performance
Support customers in finding solutions for their technical issues
Participate in fleet events and promote ZF products and solutions
Cooperate with aftermarket field sales as appropriate
What we expect from you as a Technical Field Sales Representative:
A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field)
5+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the commercial vehicle or automotive sector
Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and customer-first approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships
Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets
Flexible and adaptable in working hours and travel schedules
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional settings
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general digital tools
Must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as needed
