Job Summary Our client who specialists in lighting design projects is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Technical Compliance & Quality Controller for their Union Park Business Unit ("the division"). This incumbent will be reporting to the National Operations Manager . The main scope for this position is to actively manage and set up best in class TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE procedures & QUALITY testing workshop. Responsibilities: Set up and manage all TECHNICAL COMPLIANCE procedures & QUALITY testing workshop. Ensure warrantee technical support according to company policies and standards. Monitor raw material stock received from conformance to specification. Document and test the quality of the product. (Sample testing.) The identification of non-conforming product. Continuous suggestions and recommendation to quality improvement and processes Responsible to set the quality standard in the products and service during acquiring process. Verify and sample test the quality of all products. Make recommendations on the reprocessing of the low-quality products. Responsible for the legal compliance documentation of inspection and test conducted on products. Ensure the products meet relevant quality standards and specifications. Identify the problems and issues regarding quality of the products. To approve performance of new suppliers as per procedure To ensure effective control of non-conforming products at all stages of production as per procedure and ensure effective of corrective actions. To ensure effective preventive actions To ensure calibration, approve calibration schedule, calibration control sheet & sheet & calibration extension sheet of instruments and liaison with external calibration agencies. Administer the legal process of product compliance to ensure all relevant imported products have valid LOA certificates. Skills: Interact with the creative problem-solving process to help drive and meet deadlines. Understanding of procedures for procurement specifications, batch testing, warrantees. Ability to work independently in a team and under pressure with minimal supervision. Operate and support within a matrix operating and management model. Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with internal and external customers. Assertive, proactive and goal driven with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines. Able to think analytically to ensure relevant information and identify key issues. Be able to do electronic repairs at circuit board level without the help of circuit diagrams, make necessary repairs or modifications and advise the manufacturer to do the same on future products. Educational Requirements: A valid Grade 12 certificate is a MUST Equivalent to a 3 year Electrical diploma or engineering qualification advantages. At least 3 years Quality Controller experience. Electrical compliance experience advantages. Strong knowledge of electrical product Fully computer literate.
