Technical Buyer

Century City, Cape Town | Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

R300,000 - R420,000 CTC per year

What you'll do

Source and evaluate suppliers for specialised components, including: PCBA and electronic parts Cables, wires, and IT/network hardware Custom machined aluminium and casting Private wireless components Request, review, and compare quotations for best value Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms Work hand-in-hand with engineering and production teams to define requirements Ensure purchased products meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards Manage purchase orders, contracts, and ERP system updates Keep accurate records and contribute to cost-saving initiatives

What we're looking for

At least 5 years' experience in technical procurement or buying Strong understanding of technical components and supplier evaluation Detail-focused, organised, and comfortable negotiating at all levels Collaborative and solutions-driven mindset
