Purpose of Position

To advise on and drive the implementation of agreed business development growth strategies and plans that reinforces, supports, and drives the profitable development of the Security business in South Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing an effective business development plan
  • Developing major account business.
  • Evaluating new market opportunities.
  • Management of client and channel expectations.
  • Managing and resolving dealer / distributor credit control matters.
  • Develop and grow Services revenue
  • Ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts
  • Implement business development plans for all Security products and services.
  • Manage expenditure against budget.
  • Recommend strategic business alliances.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain channel partner support and communication
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key industry influencers
  • Prepare and implement regional / major account sales plans that are consistent with Security business strategies.
  • Accurately forecast / budget revenues,
  • Ensure that details of all commitments are recorded in the Contacts database.
  • Maintain a watching brief on competitors.
  • Identify strategic business partner opportunities and provide feedback
Technical Support & Training
  • Provide technical sales support to the CEO and GOO to ensure that sales opportunities are maximized, including but not limited to:
  • Provide product presentations to potential customers and security consultants.
  • Tender response and preparation.
  • System designs and integrated solutions.
Reporting
  • Timely return of all requests, weekly and monthly reports as required by management
  • Timely and accurate demand forecasting
REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
  • Relevant 3-year degree/ Diploma or At least 5 years experience in the Security/IT environment
Experience
  • 5+ years business development / sales experience as well as 5+ years experience in security systems or information technology environment.
  • Experience in the Security Market
  • Security Systems Installation experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Security solutions knowledge.
  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Security industry knowledge.
  • Project management skills.
  • Dealer / distributor management.
  • Market development geographic or vertical.
  • Major Customer relationship management.
  • Account Management Skills.
