Job Description
Our client is looking for a Tech Lead. This role is responsible for leading the internal development team in terms of code architecture (JAVA), quality, testing and deployment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To lead the development team in terms of code architecture, quality, automated testing, deployment
- To reinforce efficient and collaborative decision making though defined agile structures e.g. the Architecture meeting
- To ensure that team goals, budgets and KPIs are achieved
- To ensure that proper updated documentation is maintained
- To engage with IT promote sound deployment and security
- To manage and promote collaboration with external providers
- To support processes of application innovation
- To undertake development as required (30-50% of the role)
- To manage the personal development of team members (e.g. Talent Reviews, training)
Education level
- Tertiary degree/diploma in Technology or related
- 10 years in JAVA development
- 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with microservices
- 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Team Lead
- Deep knowledge of agile and scrum processes
- Understanding of continuous improvement would be an added benefit
- Understanding of AWS and Azure environments and deployment
