THE OPPORTUNITYAn opportunity exists for a dynamic leader to join our supply chain team to lead a team of industrial engineers focussed on supply chain processes and continuous improvement in the PEP business. This is a fast-paced, action-packed role that will directly contribute to our supply chain success.This position will be based at our Central Office in Parow, Cape Town, but travel to our DCs will be required.THE ROLEYou will be leading a team of industrial engineers that is focussed on implementing and improving the processes in our distribution centers. Through this, you will have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans. The role will focus largely on operational processes and systems.This is a perfect role for somebody who will enjoy solving problems in operations and also grow his/her supply chain exposure and knowledge. A self-starter that takes ownership of their work and is ready to make an impact in the business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and grow the Industrial Engineering teamDevelopment of business casesAccountable for successful delivery of supply chain projectsIdentify and drive continuous improvement initiativesMapping and development of supply chain processesDeveloping SOPs to enable optimal business and system integrationDevelop training plans and ensure users are trained on systems and processesLiaise with various role players and departments to provide supply chain supportIDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEBachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a warehouse environmentProject Management experienceRetail knowledge and exposure will be an advantageExperience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology will be an advantageAdvanced level of computer skills, especially MS Excel or Google SheetsWillingness to travelCompetencies required: Problem Assessment; Decision Making; Business Acumen; Leadership; Communication; Planning, Organizing and control; Building and maintaining relationships; Learning orientation; Resourcefulness; Confidence and Stress tolerance
