The Team Leader will oversee a small team of marketing and sales consultants, coordinate promotional campaigns, and drive sales performance across academic seasons. The role supports both in-store and outreach efforts, including institutional partnerships, student engagement, and campus activations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team to meet monthly targets
o
Develop and implement promotional campaigns aligned with academic calendars
o
Coordinate outreach initiatives to universities, colleges, and student groups
o
Monitor sales performance and prepare weekly reports for management
o
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service standards
o
Assist with stock planning and product positioning in-store and online
o
Represent the bookstore at academic events, expos, and campus activations
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric); post-school qualification in marketing, business, or communications preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
Proven leadership or supervisory experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools
Ability to work independently and manage a small team
Knowledge of academic retail or campus-based marketing will be an advantage
Compensation:
- Basic salary: R8500 per month
- Target-based compensation: Reach targets and get compensated, with opportunities for bonuses and incentives
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08h00 - 18h00
- Weekends: 08h00 - 14h00 (two weekends off and two weekends in)
