Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and highly organized Outdoor Activities Manager to lead and coordinate our outdoor experiences team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, physically active, outdoor environments and enjoys both leadership and hands-on involvement.
Minimum 2 years reception/reservations experience required.
Own reliable vehicle & 30 min drive from Spier Wine Farm.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a small team of outdoor guides.
• Handle client communications including email booking inquiries, phone calls and follow-ups.
• Manage client invoicing and payment tracking.
• Assist with the delivery of tours as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of guided tours.
• Create and manage the staff rota and shift schedules.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and safety on all tours.

Pay dependant on experience, start date: immediate.
Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month.

• Minimum 2 years reception/reservations experience required.

Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supervising a team. * Experience in an outdoor activity-based or similar role beneficial.

• Professional experience as a tour guide beneficial.
• Prior HR experience, including managing staff, rotas/schedules and disciplinaries.
• Experience working in a 45 star hospitality environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ActivityBridge booking software is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Digital marketing or social media marketing experience is a strong advantage.
• An interest in or experience with viticulture or agriculture is an added bonus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Must be physically fit and capable of handling the physical demands of outdoor activities.
• Must live within a 30-minute drive of Spier Wine Farm, Stellenbosch.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid drivers license.
• First Aid Level 1 beneficial.
• Prior Segway riding experience would be an advantage.
• Fluent in written & spoken English.
• Able to work all weekend & public holidays.

• Enjoys being outdoors and is confident leading and assisting on tours.
