We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic

Team Leader

to work at our store in

Kalahari Mall

in

Upington

and help us deliver excellent customer service to pet lovers.

*Assist customers in finding the right products for their cats and dogs.

*Provide knowledgeable advice on pet care, nutrition, and product selection.

*Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.

*Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

*Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with a positive attitude.

*Perform stock-taking duties and ensure accurate inventory counts.

*Manage purchase orders and coordinate receiving stock deliveries.

*Perform administrative tasks.

*Daily cash-ups and banking.

*Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to assist customers effectively.

*Inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.

*Training of new team members

*Providing stats and input on sales

*Provide support to the team

*Daily, weekly and monthly target management

*Liaising with head office and CEO

*Provide input on market changes and competitor behaviour

Requirements:

*Completed VNA 1 and 2

*Previous position as an Assistant Manager or trainee team leader would be advantageous

*Passionate about animals and a strong understanding of pet care.

*Retail and customer service success with a proven track record and references.

*2 + years experience in the vetshop industry is non-negotiable. Please do not apply if you do not have this.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Numerical skills).

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

*Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

*Excellent administrative skills and familiarity with inventory systems.

*Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

*Must be able to lift and carry up to 20kg.

*Reliable transport

English and Afrikaans speaking
Reside in Upington or less than 8km from it
Start date 1 December 2025 or as soon as possible
