Job Description

We're seeking a Team Lead to guide and empower a growing team responsible for maintaining one of the most comprehensive student accommodation datasets in the UK and beyond.

This is a hands-on leadership role that blends operational oversight with strategic thinking. You'll ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the dataset while fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment. As the bridge between the data team, management, and other departments, you'll ensure communication flows smoothly, blockers are removed quickly, and the team remains focused on delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Team Development



Lead, support, and inspire a team of Data Administrators to deliver high-quality work. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture that values integrity, ownership, and continuous learning. Provide guidance and mentoring to help individuals develop their professional and technical skills.

Workflow & Project Management



Plan and prioritise daily workloads to ensure clear alignment with project objectives and timelines. Promote efficient task allocation, encouraging the team to manage their responsibilities confidently. Identify and resolve potential blockers early, maintaining momentum and communication across the team.

Process Improvement & Organisation



Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose or implement improvements to enhance productivity and data reliability. Anticipate potential blockers and take initiative to mitigate them before they impact delivery.

Cross-Department Collaboration



Act as the main point of contact between the data team and management. Support other departments when needed, ensuring that cross-functional work runs smoothly and effectively.

Monitoring & Quality Assurance



Conduct regular team check-ins to track progress, offer guidance, and ensure work meets our standards. Uphold quality, accuracy, and accountability across all deliverables.

Key Skills & Competencies



Proven experience leading or managing a small team Excellent organisational and communication skills Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Strategic thinker who can plan a head and identify potential challenges early Confident using tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, and project tracking systems Integrity, honesty, and a commitment to high-quality results

Pay: R32000,00 - R35000,00 per month
