Job Title:

Preschool Teacher (Ages 3-5)

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, supervising daily routines, and ensuring the well-being and development of each child under care.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and collect children at the gate each morning. Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with school guidelines. Supervise and assist with cleaning up after meals and activities. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support early learning and development. Supervise and guide children during indoor and outdoor playtime to ensure safety and positive social interaction. Prepare children for nap time and ensure a calm, restful environment. Assist children in getting ready for collection at the end of the day. Conduct lesson preparation and maintain classroom organization and resources. Complete and update children's workbooks and other educational materials. Evaluate student progress, prepare developmental reports, and write termly comments. Maintain open communication with parents, colleagues, and management. Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant Early Childhood Education qualification or equivalent.

Valid SACE registration number.

Previous experience working with preschool-aged children. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children. Ability to work as part of a team and follow school routines effectively.
