school-paid post
and not a departmental appointment. Candidates should be available for the full duration of the contract period.Minimum Requirements
FET teaching qualification. Speak and write Afrikaans and English. Relevant teaching qualification and SACE registration. Experience teaching Life orientation and Social Sciences at the high school level. Ability to teach Geograpy (Gr.10) is an advantage. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to engage in school life beyond the classroom, including extra-mural and emotional responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach
Life orientation
to selected Grade 8-12 classes. TeachSocial Sciences
for Grade 8 - 9. Assist withextra-mural activities
, such asHockey, Drama, or Eisteddfod
. Attend and participate inparent evenings
. * Proactivelycommunicate with parents
of learners who are underperforming or failing to submit tasks.
