About the Role

HYPE - Youth is seeking a skilled and experienced

Taxation Manager

to lead our taxation function and support organizational growth. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional with leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys advising clients, managing compliance, and mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee accurate submission of PAYE, CIT, and VAT returns. Manage SARS E-Filing, including applications such as Section 200, deferrals, diesel refunds, and customs disputes. Draft and lodge objections, appeals, and submissions to SARS, the Tax Board, and Tax Court. Conduct tax planning and advisory services for clients. Represent clients in meetings with SARS. Lead and mentor the taxation team, collaborating with HR and management. Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Requirements

BCom Taxation or BCom Honours in Taxation (or equivalent). Minimum 3 years post-articles experience in taxation or a related role. Strong knowledge of the Tax Administration Act, Income Tax Act, Employees Tax Act, and Customs & Excise Act. Proven leadership and team management skills. Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with SARS E-Filing systems.
