A leading group in the retail and consumer goods industry is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their finance team. This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in tax compliance, reporting, advisory, and stakeholder management across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure tax efficiency, compliance, and strong governance throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting across multiple tax types and entities
- Prepare and review tax returns, provisional tax estimates, and CFC calculations
- Lead year-end and quarterly tax reporting, including deferred tax calculations
- Advise on tax legislation changes and support business units with technical guidance
- Manage tax audits, risks, and relationships with tax authorities and external advisors
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting
- Master's in taxation is essential
- CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a tax consultant
- Experience in a large or multinational group preferred
- Strong understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory
