Tax Consultant
Job Description
Our client, an established and highly reputable Financial Consulting Firm aiming for customer satisfaction, is in search of a competent Tax Consultant. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax, particularly in completing income tax returns, evaluating assessments, and managing various tax-related tasks. You will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience.
You will be responsible but not limited to:
Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities
Working experience in Individual Tax Returns; and Provisional Tax
Detail-oriented review of tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
Review sole proprietor, company and trust annual financials
Provide expert guidance on tax implications for business decisions and transactions
Lead VAT and other tax reconciliations, supporting the financial accounting teams
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
Coordinate and prepare VAT returns and other indirect tax-related reports
Education:
Matric
B. Com / B.Acc / B.Compt / National Diploma
Degree or diploma in finance and taxation
Registered member of SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA or SAIT
Other relevant tax qualifications will also be considered
Registered tax practitioner/professional tax certification is preferred
Two-year post article, Individual Tax experience
Proficiency in tax software, financial systems, and Microsoft Office suite

Constructive training and leadership of junior processors
Good knowledge and understanding of Income tax compliance regulations

Willingness to work under tight deadlines during tax season
