Job Summary This magnificent terrace restaurant and signature wine estate in the Paarl Winelands offers upmarket / fine dining cuisine 6 days a week with a seasonally changing "farm fresh" inspired menu. ProStaffSelect are in search of a young and enthusiastic ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER to oversee daily breakfast and lunch with the assistance of two tasting room managers. We are in search of candidates with a passion for fine cuisine and a strong knowledge of wines, experience in service etiquette & fine dining operations, exceptional skills in managing & motivating staff and excellent communication & coordinating skills to liaise with kitchen and front office personnel. REQUIREMENTS Min 4 years' experience within a la carte restaurant / fine dining operations. Good exposure and confidence in promoting & serving signature SA wines, Artisan Coffee Production, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. Excellent CULINARY knowledge and all-round understanding of advanced food preparation methods and terms, ingredients & plating components. Highly Presentable candidate with strong personality, confidence and commanding presence. Highly computer literate with knowledge of Point of Sale Systems, Beverage Controls and Costings
