Your Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused professional to oversee logistics and operations at our Midrand Tank farm. This role ensures smooth
coordination of warehousing, transportation, inventory, and tank farm activities while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and safety guidelines.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the implementation of all relevant warehousing and production regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Manage all transportation activities to ensure timely deliveries and collections in area of responsibility.
Oversee effective, safe, accurate, and timely stock management, including:
Inventory control for inbound and outbound liquid bulk, packed stock, and packaging materials.
Cycle counts through to validation.
Stock forecasting to ensure minimum stock holding requirements are met.
Monitor all bulk tank movements daily.
Manage unsaleable stock control, including credit note administration.
Respond promptly to internal and external customer queries.
Oversee job observations, work instructions, and permits to work.
Coordinate and lead monthly safety and operational meetings.
Ensure strict adherence to SHEQ standards, including investigating and closing out non-conformances.
Report and oversee general maintenance in the tank farm.

Your Profile
A results-driven operations professional with strong organising and supervisory skills, excels in high-paced environments. Brings exceptional attention to detail in stock management, a safety-first approach with solid SHEQ expertise, and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
SkillsStock management and inventory control.
Logistics planning and coordination.
SHEQ compliance and safety management.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/WMS systems.
Experience5+ years in logistics, warehousing, or operations management.
Proven experience in liquid bulk and/or packaging material management preferred.
Previous experience in a tank farm environment advantageous.
Demonstrated track record of safety leadership and operational efficiency.
EducationTertiary qualification in Chemical Operations, Production Management, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, (preferred).
SHEQ and Process Safety Management-related certifications advantageous.
