We are looking for a proactive Talent Research Specialist to play a critical role in identifying, engaging, and attracting top talent across a variety of roles. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on research, building connections, and driving recruitment pipelines forward.
The role requires curiosity, persistence, and strong people skillsbalancing behind-the-scenes sourcing with candidate-facing communication to ensure the right individuals are brought into the process at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Research & Sourcing
- Use job boards, LinkedIn, CV databases, and networking channels to identify potential candidates.
- Map markets and talent pools to build pipelines for current and future vacancies.
- Write and refresh engaging job adverts that attract the right profiles.
  • Candidate Engagement & Screening
- Make first contact with potential candidates to spark interest and assess suitability.
- Conduct initial screening calls to review experience, motivations, and cultural fit.
- Maintain regular touchpoints to keep candidates engaged throughout the process.
  • Recruitment Campaign Support
- Partner with consultants to understand hiring needs and ideal candidate profiles.
- Tailor sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill or niche positions.
- Provide consistent flow of qualified candidates into active roles.
  • Market Insight & Data Management
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and candidate availability.
- Keep recruitment database and CRM records updated and accurate.
- Provide regular insights and reports to the recruitment team.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma (NQF Level 6) - preferably in HR.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience
  • Strong research and online sourcing skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build quick rapport.
  • Organised, with the ability to juggle multiple vacancies at once.
  • Comfortable working with recruitment tools, CRM systems, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Inquisitive and resourcefulable to hunt talent proactively.
  • Resilient and persistent, with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Team-oriented but confident working independently.
  • Highly motivated by results and delivering value.
