Role Purpose
To be part of the machine learning team at Momentum Health Solutions. To help grow, monitor and improve the core data and machine learning capabilities within the company. One can expect to work with cloud solutions, databases, data warehouses and more. This role can aims to improve the health industry by mitigating risk, guiding strategy with insights and to improve the rate of flow and standard of data.
Requirements

  • Honours degree from any main university or an undergraduate with multiple courses done relating to the field. (Computer sciences, Degree relating to coding, data analytics, information systems, data bases etc.)
  • 5 years working experience
  • Background in mathematics or have taken modules in math up to a 3rd year level is advantageous
  • Must be able to code in SQL
  • Experience in python is advantageous
  • Must have experience with different databases.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify and understand business processes to facilitate and enhance data analytics.
  • Participate in discovery processes with business stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities that may be addressed with statistical modelling or machine learning
  • Identify, understand, interpret data structures across various databases within the business to facilitate data analysis and continuous monitoring activities
  • Advise on data collection; identify available and relevant data, potentially leveraging third party data sources
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information
  • Source data and complete data extracts across a variety of systems in order to gather data in the applicable format
  • Prepare the data for analysis and modelling, which includes data cleaning, standardisation, transformation, dimension reduction and feature engineering
  • Contribute to data integrity and cleansing activities in order to increase the quality of data.
  • Provide data analysis in the form of descriptive analysis and trend analysis
  • Perform data modelling to identify trends and patterns that highlight anomalies, identify relationships and tracking exceptions.
  • Collate data into the applicable format.
  • Use data summaries and visualisation techniques to understand and explain data
  • Contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of data and reporting processes.
  • Provide and compile data models to proactively identify risks within business, provide insight and to promote reuse and accuracy of reporting
  • Collaborate with business to define approaches to resolve key business problems or develop new business strategies
  • Contribute to business by highlighting possible opportunities for process improvement and business value creation
  • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure technical product and legislative knowledge is always current in order to propose the most relevant and innovative client solutions and comply with governance requirements
