Tailings Engineer
Job Description
A leading consultancy is looking for an experienced Tailings Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. If you value producing high-quality work and would like to contribute to projects throughout Africa, then we want to hear from you.
Role requirements:
BSc Eng/ BEng Civil Engineering
Postgraduate qualification in water engineering is recommended.
Registered as Candiate with ECSA and close to attaining Pr. Eng Registration
Minimum 6 years industry experience in tailings dam breach analysis
Knowledge of Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management.
Experience with SANS codes
Proficient in relevant software.
Key responsibilities:
Perform tailings dam breach analysis
Conduct geotechnical investigations
Evaluate conditions of Tailings Storage Facilities
