Minimum of 10 years' experience in tactical security operations and riot control, with a solid background in law enforcement, preferably from a police or similar agency.
PSIRA registered (relevant grade as required for the role)
Security management: strong knowledge of security operations, risk management, and compliance with industry standards
Intervention management: proven ability to lead intervention, tactical, and riot-control teams, including deployment planning, crisis response, and high-risk operations
Proven leadership experience with strong team management skills, able to coordinate and motivate large teams across various operations
Excellent communication and coordination abilities are essential, especially when liaising with local authorities and security forces
Responsibilities Operational Management
Responsible for enforcing and adhering to the company disciplinary code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for managing expenditure and costs (overtime, CAPEX, uniforms, fuel, etc.).
Responsible for managing deployments and co-ordinating essential actions required for successful deployment
Responsible for implementing and maintaining action plans to ensure the safety of staff, assets, and property.
Crisis Management
Responsible for leading high-risk situations, including riots, public disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring rapid response and effective resolution
Liaise with Authorities
Responsible to act as the primary liaison with SAPS (South African Police Service), local authorities, and disaster management, ensuring seamless coordination during incidents
Training and Development
Responsible for audit requests and act as the primary liaison for internal and external payroll audits
Staff & Resource Management
Responsible for managing staff schedules, time and attendance, leave schedules, postings, redeployments, and overtime
Responsible for overseeing firearms management in the region, including regulation 21 training and renewal of firearm licenses
