Job Description

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics/Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in process/system engineering, preferably in the vacuum pump or related industrial equipment industry. A graduate with the right attitude will be considered.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) and CAD design.
  • Proven project management experience with end-to-end project delivery.
  • Knowledge of FDA, hygienic, ISO, and industry-specific standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple industrial markets, including food, plastics, woodwork, medical, automotive, packaging, oil & gas, wastewater, and paper.
  • Excellent communication, customer-facing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, installations, or trade events.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Project Engineering and Design:
  • Perform precise engineering calculations, prepare detailed technical drawings, and create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Design vacuum pump systems using SolidWorks or other CAD software, including 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Develop comprehensive operating procedures, installation manuals, and control philosophies.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, hygienic design, ISO, Busch quality, and industry-specific standards across food & beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, oil & gas, automotive, plastics, packaging, wastewater, and woodwork markets.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead projects end-to-end, including client engagement, proposals, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Coordinate with global and local suppliers to source quality components within budget and timelines.
  • Submit technical tenders and system proposals, managing delivery schedules and customer expectations.
  • Oversee on-site installations, commissioning, and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure all projects comply with site safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Client Support and Relationship Management:
  • Support the Sales team with technical expertise, system proposals, tenders, and customer presentations.
  • Provide after-sales technical troubleshooting and on-site problem solving to secure repeat business.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations, customer training, and technical consultations.
  • Drive positive customer experiences through proactive service and professional engagement.
  • Help grow system sales and complex sales as part of a sales-focused company.
  • Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that streamline operations within the Systems Department.
  • Expand the companys systems offering across industries.
  • Produce accurate weekly, monthly, and project status reports to support decision-making.
  • Deliver internal and external training sessions to colleagues and customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, Procurement, and Quality to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Share technical expertise and feedback to improve workflows and support company-wide initiatives.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
