Vitam International is a leading distributor of proven animal feed additives sourced from several well-respected multinational companies. Vitam International operates across the Southern African region and delivers solutions to all animal species.

Vitam International has a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated Swine Development Manager in Southern Africa. This position is based at the company Head office in Pretoria. This position will report to the General Manager. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Key duties and Responsibilities include:

• Sales and marketing of a range of specialty nutrition solutions for the Swine sector
• Liaise with suppliers, producers, feed millers, consulting nutritionists, and key influences in this dynamic sector
• Product management including the responsibility of the profitability for a range of products
• Manage lab services i.e., Mycotoxin Analysis & NIR
• Stay up to date with independent research, market trends and business opportunities
• Participate in industry technical committee meetings

Qualifications:

• Minimum of BSc Agriculture degree - Animal Science, Swine Nutrition. MSc Agric is a distinct advantage.
• Product and sales training will be provided by Vitam International and International partners.
• Registered at SACNASP as a Professional Animal Scientist or in the proses thereof.

Specific Experience:

• 5 - 10 years of related experience in the feed industry
• Experience in feed additives, applied nutrition and on-farm management
• Computer literate and proven competency

Additional Requirements:

• The candidate must be willing and able to travel locally and internationally as required.
• Must have a valid passport and driver's license.
