Job description My Client is hiring a Sustainable Auditor to start in March 2026 (or sooner if available), based in Somerset West. You will report directly to the Evaluation Manager. The position will mainly involve the organic-, sustainable-, conservation- and social audits (according to standards such as: EU, NOP, Fair-for-Life, Rainforest Alliance) of clients in South Africa mostly. It may also include audits in other countries in the subregion and travel to Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, and Namibia. Candidates must be willing to travel (often remote areas) for anything between 1 day and 2 weeks at a time. Your tasks You will be responsible to carry out the following duties:
Auditing on site (farm, factory, export office)
Completing audit reports within deadline
Communication with clients regarding compliance assessment
Profile
Education: BSc, BScAgri or similar tertiary qualification.
Experience: Experience in the agriculture and/or certification sector (in particular organic/sustainable/fair trade) would be beneficial
Technical skills: High level of computer literacy - confident MS Office user
Languages: English and Afrikaans - both essential - spoken and written
