Job Description


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have grade 12 + a Culinary Diploma preferably
  • Must have a minimum of at least 4 years of previous experience in a senior chef role
  • Work experience as a Sushi Chef or at an Asian restaurant
  • Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
  • Own transport with a valid drivers license
  • Ability to work both fast and accurately
  • Must have great Leadership and management skills and be able to work well within a team
  • Basic computer skills (word, excel, outlook)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends)
  • Ability to work under pressure and have creative problem-solving skills
