This role requires a hands-on culinary professional who excels in preparing authentic, beautifully crafted sushi and Japanese dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare; roll, and plate sushi to consistently high standards of taste and presentation Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient sushi station and kitchen Source; manage, and store ingredients ensuring freshness and quality Collaborate with management and kitchen team to maintain menu standards and introduce new dishes Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage food costs Adhere to strict health, hygiene, and safety standards Lead; mentor, and train junior sushi staff where applicable Requirements: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a professional, high-quality restaurant Expertise in Japanese culinary techniques and sushi preparation Creativity; precision, and attention to detail in presentation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong team player with good communication skills Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety, and operational procedures Experience in mentoring or leading junior kitchen staff is advantageous Package & Benefits: Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience Opportunity to work in a respected, high-end Asian-inspired dining environment Professional and supportive kitchen team
