Job Description

A company that provides workforce management solutions and security services, leveraging technology for monitoring, tracking, and communication, is seeking a detail-oriented and proficient IT Support Technician to provide crucial technical assistance to clients. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurate and timely logging of incidents, as well as resolving a variety of software and hardware issues.
Responsibilities:
On-Site Installations: Conduct on-site installations and configurations for clients, ensuring proper setup and functionality of systems.
Hardware and Software Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Issue Escalation: Escalate complex technical problems to senior support staff or relevant departments when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
System Maintenance: Perform routine system updates and maintenance to ensure optimal security, performance, and efficiency of client systems.
Asset Management: Maintain and track IT assets, ensuring timely updates and replacements as needed to support client operations.
Customer Assistance: Provide quotations for new and existing customers as required, ensuring clear and accurate information.
Standby Support: Provide cover for technicians on leave by handling support calls and offering technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person.
Company Equipment and/or Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure proper care and maintenance of assigned company equipment (e.g., laptop, cell phone) and report any issues with company equipment or vehicles, keeping them clean and in good condition.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a technical support role, IT support, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills: The ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively with non-technical users and clients.
Driver's License & Travel: A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel for on-site support as required.
Work Ethic: The ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
