Supply & Demand In-Service Student

within the manufacturing industry.

The in-service student will be exposed to the following responsibilities:

Main Purpose:

Assisting inventory planners with necessary duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Releasing of orders on ASCP (various folders) Raising of orders on suppliers. Updating of in transit report Completion of new item masters. Advise on sourcing of new items. Identifying items with a PAB negative and taking initiative to expedite or air freight. Obtaining air freight quotations from freight forwarders. Loading airfreight requests onto SharePoint for approval. Liaise with overseas suppliers and following up on late orders as well as expedite orders. Communicate and assist internal departments with queries e.g. customer service, warehouse, sales etc. ADHOC duties

Internal and External Customers:

All Epping Plant departments, particularly Production. Maintenance personnel.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12 and is studying towards a National Diploma in Operations Management. Excellent computer skills using MS Office (Excel Intermediate level a must) Good verbal and written communications skills. Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking ability. Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently. Self-Motivated and Deadline Driven. Must be Innovative and come up with new ideas. Assertive and must be able to follow up on tasks.
