To support the correct utilisation of the Supply Chain modules (SAP MDM, SAP SD, SAP MM and ARIBA) and related interfaces to achieve the objectives of the business function and to safeguard the integrity of information passing between the master data, contracts, production and client systems through proactive, preventative and corrective actions as deemed necessary by management and job requirements.
Key Result Areas:
Systems Administration (Advisory and Monitoring Authority)

  • Supports with the development of processes and the alignment of the systems, maintaining data integrity standards and related procedures to enable Supply Chain processes.
  • Extracts weekly / monthly / quarterly / annual management statistical reports from various business platforms to facilitate the on-going analysis and management of supply chain information in support of the strategic, tactical and operational initiatives of Supply Chain to assist with decision making.
  • Monitors and reconciles the Supply Chain interfaces to enable seamless integration of information between the various systems, enabling the Business to provide a comprehensive service to the De Beers GoC, i.e.
  • Master Data: to govern a centralized database, ensuring one standard across the De Beers GoC and enabling visibility of information across all Anglo American business units.
  • Contracts: to promote efficiency and effectiveness through automation of the purchasing process and enabling visibility of information across all Anglo American business units.
  • Purchasing: to enable the Cape Town and Johannesburg SCC's to act as buying agent and / or buying principle for the De Beers GoC customer base, ensuring information remains relevant at all times on all relevant SAP instances thus maintaining continuous feedback to the customer.
  • Support SAP and other related call management system, providing first and second line support to all customers (internal and external) ensuring alignment of systems, people and processes on the full Purchase to Pay process,
Supply Chain specific configuration (Advisory and Monitoring Authority)
  • Runs a data review process by developing specific reports for reviewing purposes to ensure continuous monitoring of master data and purchasing volumes
Project Management (Advisory Authority)
  • Participates in Project Moore sessions, as and when required, taking cognisance of project principles, project scope, specifications, time and cost parameters, heath, safety and legal requirements by:
  • Supports the development, change management and vendor master data activities, required for the migration of Vendor Master Data Management from GSS to De Beers Supply Chain:
  • Data Integrity & Cleansing
  • Ensure all vendor records are accurate, complete, and standardized before migration.
  • Process Alignment
  • Map current VMDM workflows to Performance & Risk team processes.
  • Access & Controls
  • Update user roles, permissions, and audit trails in line with governance standards.
  • Training & Change Management
  • Equip the Performance & Risk team with tools, documentation, and training.
  • Risk Mitigation
  • Identify and address potential risks during the transition phase.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience
  • Matric with relevant Supply Chain Degree / Diploma or Matric with relevant Experience
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years SAP with extensive experience in the SD, & MM discipline (Knowledge of SAP PM would be advantageous)
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft suite of products with advanced excel skills
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years Supply Chain experience
Skills / Competencies
  • Specialist knowledge areas (data analysis techniques)
  • Supply Chain Policies, Procedures & Systems (Microsoft suite of products including SAP ERP operating knowledge)
  • Language requirements - high level business communication skills verbal and written.

  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Integration
  • WebMethods and SAP PI
  • Master Data
  • Contracts
  • Purchasing
  • Materials Management including Logistics (Material Requirements Planning / issuing / receiving / dispatching)
Good Understanding of the below is required:
  • SAP Integration
  • The integration and interaction between the different SAP instances
  • Systems database relationship and integration
  • Microsoft suite of products
  • Related technical terms, processes and procedures pertaining to the discipline
