RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SUPPLY CHAIN / PURCHASING MANAGER for a large, well-established company, position based in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal.

PERSON WILL BE REQUIRED TO START AT THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY 2024.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid drivers license and own vehicle.

Relevant certifications or equivalent industry experience specific to the position.

Working knowledge of different currencies.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables and Formulae such as V lookups). Working knowledge of Syspro ERP System or equivalent.

Duties include management of all factory procurement, the supply chain function including fabric and trim sourcing, supplier evaluation, bond store maintenance, stock level accuracy, materials planning and freight costs and daily stock control monitoring.

Monitor supplier performance in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards based on supplier certification level, specific to garment function, delivery performance, quality performance and cost competitiveness.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships both locally and internationally.

Monitor and track stock movements to ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of raw materials, spares, and other necessary items for the factory.

Determine raw materials and packaging material requirements based on production and material shortage reports.

Overseeing purchasing officers to handle quotes, purchase orders and on time material deliveries.

Responsible for maintaining an accurate level of fabric, trims and buy ins with corresponding reports and schedules.

To ensure timeous and cost-effective procurement for the company.

Strong staff management skills.
