Job Title and Overview
The Supply Chain Manager oversees the end-to-end movement of goods--from raw materials to final delivery--ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, production, warehousing, and logistics. This role is focused on optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs, and ensuring the right product reaches the right place at the right time.
Essential Job Functions
Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with business objectives
Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to streamline the supply chain
Use data and KPIs to drive improvements in cost, speed, and reliability
Logistics & Distribution Management
Oversee transport, warehousing, and delivery of goods to customers or production sites
Optimize routes, delivery methods, and freight spend to ensure timely distribution
Ensure full compliance with safety, customs, and transport regulations
Inventory & Demand Planning
Monitor and manage stock levels to support production and avoid shortages
Lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) efforts to align supply and demand
Reduce excess inventory and improve stock turnover
Supplier & Production Coordination
Ensure raw materials and components arrive on time to meet production targets
Liaise with procurement to align orders with demand forecasts
Monitor supplier performance from a supply continuity perspective
Technology & Systems Integration
Drive the use of ERP and SCM systems for visibility and traceability
Leverage automation, dashboards, and analytics for better decision-making
Ensure accurate, real-time data across procurement, inventory, and logistics
Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration
Act as the bridge between sales, finance, production, and logistics teams
Coordinate customer order fulfillment with high OTIF (On Time In Full) standards
Lead problem-solving for delays, bottlenecks, or service failures
Sustainability & Risk Management
Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the supply chain
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, quality issues, compliance gaps)
Implement contingency plans to maintain supply flow during disruptions
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability and growth
Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and support continuous skill development
Promote a culture of ethical work, collaboration, and performance excellence
