SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR [FIXED TERM CONTRACT]
Location: Durban
Our manufacturing client based in Durban is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team on a temporary contract.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Cost Management:

• Achieve sales targets in line with the budget.
• Monitor and manage the overall cost of purchasing to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure positive gross profit (GP) margins at all times.
• Manage net working capital effectively.

Customer & Relationship Management:

• Maintain and update customer information regularly.
• Foster strong customer relationships through effective communication and need satisfaction.
• Develop an understanding of the customer's business environment to enhance service delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Conduct frequent customer visits to maintain engagement and satisfaction.

Order Processing & SAP Management:

• Handle the full process from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to order management.
• Prepare accurate quotations and manage orders efficiently.
• Supervise and assist in SAP processing, including:

• Creating delivery notes.
• Invoicing.
• Inbounding and MIRO processing.

Inventory & Logistics Management:

• Maintain and track supplier and customer inventory using the rundown sheet.
• Implement First In, First Out (FIFO) stock management principles.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Resolve queries related to quality issues, damaged stock, overdue debtors, and airfreight costs.
• Regular communication with export countries to manage logistics effectively.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Complete APDP & EU declarations on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure effective and timely email correspondence with customers and suppliers.
• Respond to and resolve queries promptly, ensuring open items are closed effectively.
• Prepare creditor payment documentation for processing.
• Complete clearing instructions for supplier invoices, coordinating with internal Clearing & Forwarding as well as external parties.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless business operations.
• Assist with divisional audits and stock verification.
• Conduct warehouse visits to assess space constraints and optimize storage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferably with a commercial focus rather than solely operations).
• Proven work experience in supply chain coordination.
• Experience with SAP is essential.
• Customs and clearing experience is required.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
• Need to be available immediately and willing to work a fixed term contract.
