Job Description

The Supplier Compliance Auditor conducts Nandoxe2x80x99s Supplier/Service Provider audits and provides technical support and assistance to enable compliance and improvement of food safety and quality operations of the xc2xadSouth Africa and Africa Supply Chain partners. This role manages product evaluation system for South Africaxe2x80x99s finished products and supports new product development initiatives.
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in food science / technology or National Diploma

• Lead Auditor certificate

• Driverxe2x80x99s License

• 3 - 5 years audit experience including audit and quality management systems

Duties and Responsibilities

Supplier and Service Provider Audit Performance Management

• Plan and execute own audit schedule

• Finalise audit times and agendas with Supplier

• Prepare for audits by -

• Ensuring all relevant information is reviewed i.e. complaints, withdrawals, concessions, specifications, previous audit reports and corrective actions plans, etc.

• Ensuring technical knowledge of food category

• Conduct audits of identified Supplier as per own audit schedule or advised by Supply Chain -

• Verify compliance with Nandoxe2x80x99s audit criteria and legislation, including product specifications

• Provide relevant, practical, and cost-effective improvements and solutions

• Compile audit reports

• Prepare audit reports for the audit closing meetings and finalise post- closing meeting

• Follow-up on Supplier corrective actions and effective close out of actions

• For new Suppliers -

• Conduct new Supplier approval audits when required and provide recommendations on whether to approve a supplier.

• Ensure Supplier is completing the Supplier Questionnaire and submit all required documentation.

• Assist Suppliers with operational process flow, product specifications and QC records for Nandoxe2x80x99s products

• Conduct unannounced and announced visits at Suppliers when required due to product or process non-conformances and provide solutions and improvements when required.

• Maintain relevant Nandoxe2x80x99s documentation relating to own audits

• Monitor Suppliers to ensure they produce/deliver and maintain product specifications, including risk management that effectively monitors product and Supplier performance in a way that results in Nandoxe2x80x99s compliance with regulatory, product specifications, SOPs etc. including food safety, quality, and animal welfare (where applicable) to protect Nandoxe2x80x99s consumers and the Nandoxe2x80x99s Brand

• Monitor monthly Supplier complaints and provide technical assistance specifically relating to product quality

• Assist in the review of Nandoxe2x80x99s audit criteria when legislation changes and / or when required due to changes in process, product, or other relevant changes.

• Assist in reviewing product specifications when required.

Product Evaluation and Compliance

• Manage Product Evaluation function to ensure process is running smoothly.

• Consolidate and review product evaluation reports from Auditors to determine quality trends and risks.

• Conduct product quality control audits, including process parameters at Supplier facilities and Central Kitchen, when required.

• Share product evaluation reports with Restaurant Support, Supply Chain and Supplier

• Follow-up on Supplier corrective action and effective close-out

• Assist with technical input when required for SOPs and other operational Casa issues

• Conduct unannounced distribution and delivery audits at Casa level

• Plan in-house training schedule based on new team members.

• Facilitate practical training sessions to educate teams on product evaluations and reporting.

• Maintain excel spreadsheets to ensure alignment with product specifications

Complaint Handling and Resolution

• Monitor, review supplier-related complaints in liaison with the Technical Specialist and resolve food safety and product quality complaints, as and when required.

• Manage investigations and follow up with suppliers to ensure corrective action reports are submitted and complaints are resolved within the agreed timeframes.

• Be aware of Alleged Food Poisoning (AFP) and Foreign Object that may be related to Supplier complaints, and in liaison with Technical Specialist facilitate closure thereof.

• Implement continuous improvement to existing practices and new ways of working, either at Supplier or Casa level

• Escalate complaints if not resolved to Legal or applicable Department as required.

Reporting and Supplier compliance systems administration

• Manage technical data and all relevant reports (where applicable) to allow trend analysis.

• Manage information on Supplier Compliance digital platform to ensure accuracy, availability and relevance.

• Interpret and explain laboratory reports and specifications.
