Qualification(s)

Degree in Food Science or Food Technology or other relevant qualification

Experience and Skills

Minimum 10 years' experience within quality and food safety in a FMCG environment, minimum 5 years leadership/management experience. Working experience in a food processing & manufacturing environment, supplier management, consumer customer complaints management, Laboratory management, internal /supplier auditing, managing contract manufacturers. Excellent knowledge of the applicable quality & food safety systems (ISO, FSCC 22000, PRP's, HACCP, GMP, etc.) and the application thereof. Proficient in MS Office Project Management Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and writing skills Stakeholders management Leadership skills

Reason for Essential qualification & Skills

This role requires a solid understanding of technological and scientific background on food and applicable standards for Quality and Food Safety. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering of the set standards are 3PMs, Suppliers and DCs. Industry knowledge is a must as this will enable the incumbent to be able and capable to make important decisions on risk management

Complexities within the role

Be able to manage and participate in difficult conversations. Be able to travel to Suppliers, 3PMs and DCs Have a Risk Based Approach Mindset, to be able to risk assess and risk manage to provide a positive outcome/s.
