Vacancy: Canteen Kitchen Supervisor

Location: Sandton

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Kitchen Supervisor to support the smooth day-to-day running of a high-quality food service operation in Sandton. This role works closely with the Catering Manager and Assistant Catering Manager to ensure exceptional service delivery, strong operational control, and a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen and service operations to ensure service levels are consistently achieved. Maintain and implement quality standards, food concepts, and service excellence. Ensure effective stock control systems and cost-conscious operations. Operate and present the restaurant in line with Sodexo operational guidelines and SOPs. Produce and submit management and operational reports as required. Support staff scheduling, shift planning, and task allocation. Establish and uphold performance, service, and dress code standards. Conduct staff performance appraisals and support disciplinary processes in collaboration with HR. Promote current menus, offerings, and specials to guests. Foster a customer focused, professional, and welcoming environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Sound knowledge of

Restaurant / Canteen

operations, systems, and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Email) is essential.
