Qualifications and skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Grade 12.

Technical qualification will be advantageous.

At least 3 years related experience

Oral and written communication in English

Interpersonal skills.

A valid, unendorsed Code 10 license with pdp

Road maintenance knowledge.

Physically fit to move objects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Ensure traffic flow and protect employees and motorists during roadworks.

Repaint worn road marking - lines, letters, and symbols using water or solvent-based paints, applied by hand or machine.

Install reflective glass beads in the painted lines.

Remove damaged studs, repair new road studs. and install new road studs.

Ensure site clearing and carting to dump all debris.

Trim trees, repair signs, and dig for road fixtures.

Conduct stock taking as and when required.

Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.

Allocate general and daily responsibilities.

Oversee and facilitate the training and development of employees.

Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.

Work safely at all times in accordance with the OHS Act.
