WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




Plan, schedule, coordinate and control resources to ensure the efficient manufacturing of Propellants. Maintain production schedule and productivity. Transform the plant manager's strategic mission into a section-specific vision and mission. Read, interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with Product Specifications, Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMI), Facility Operating Instructions (FOI) and Control Plans (CP). Ensure staff are trained and competent as per PMI, FOI, CP, Special safety rules, and explosive regulations. Maintain explosives environment housekeeping standards and SHE requirements in line with organisational requirements and the Explosives Act. Analyse production data such as shift output and rectify bottlenecks. Generate Non-conformance reports. Lead and manage the implementation and maintenance of LEAN principles and methodologies within the respective facility, including Continuous Improvements. Responsible and ethical leadership with a strong ability to maintain discipline. Knowledge of daily reports and accuracy of information. Manage consumables and stationery; issue, record, monitor and load requests on the SAP ERP system. Monitor maintenance schedules, observe trends and give corrective actions if applicable. Attention to detail. Manage and monitor scrap and waste; determine the cause of the deviation and initiate corrective action. Drive the closure of safety and quality-related issues. Responsible for monitoring stock levels at the plant. Communicate daily targets to the team and provide feedback to the Line Manager. Willing to work shifts and overtime as required by the business. Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.


WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE





National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification. B. Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous. At least 5 years' experience working with Single, double and triple base propellant of which 2 years should have been in a supervisory level. Knowledge of handling hazardous substances and explosive materials, particularly propellant-based products. Knowledge of ERP system and Team Centre. Ability to make decisions, take initiative and demonstrate sound judgement. WHAT WE OFFER YOU
