Duties & Responsibilities




Supervise and coordinate catering staff to ensure efficient service delivery. Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies. Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly. Support the Catering Manager with reporting and operational tasks. Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties to team members. Train and mentor staff to maintain high performance and service standards. Monitor portion control and cost management to reduce wastage. Ensure accurate record-keeping for stock, wastage, and staff attendance. Assist in planning menus and implementing special dietary requirements. Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. Implement Tsebo's sustainability and waste reduction practices. Ensure compliance with client contractual obligations and service level agreements. Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and quality assurance. Assist in budgeting and cost control to meet financial targets. Prepare and submit operational reports to management. Manage staff rosters, leave schedules, and payroll inputs accurately. Ensure staff adhere to uniform and grooming standards. Handle disciplinary matters in line with company policies.

Skills and Competencies



Customer service Attention to detail Communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities. Computer literate

Qualifications



Grade 12 or equivalent qualification * Minimum 2-3 years' experience in catering or hospitality supervision.
