Superintendent Engineering (electrical)
Job Description
Essence of the job:
To ensure equipment availability and reliability through application of maintenance management systems and resources to achieve and support production targets, which include but not limited to:
Engineering operations
Improvement optimization
People management
Contractor management
Budget and cost control
SHERQ
Work Ethics.
Qualification:
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
Engineering Technical Trade Test with a minimum of N4 Engineering certificate
Planned Maintenance Management certificate (NQF level 5)
Supervisory Certificate (NQF level 4 - 150 Credits) or ARM or equivalent
MDP/ ARM Management / Leadership Equivalent certificate (NQF level 6) (Recommended).
Minimum Requirements:
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
Minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience as a team/ project leader/ supervisor in mining or heavy industry maintenance environment in plant and fleet.
Minimum of five (5) years' operational experience in a mining or heavy industry maintenance environment in plant and fleet as a qualified artisan (Total of 8 years of experience).
Equipment specific experience / exposure:
MV Reticulation and Switching (Power Reticulation).
Capacitor Banks and other Energy-saving Initiatives.
Diesel Generator and Back-Up Power Supplies.
Electrical Fault-finding and Protection.
Electrical building maintenance standards.
