Superintendent (bulkwater)
Job Description
Maintenance and repairs of the bulk water supply infrastructure,including structures throughout the
eThekwini Municipality.
Key Responsibility Areas
Ensures that the work complies with construction drawings and specifications by ensuring that
good working practices and standards are maintained on all projects.
Understanding of different types of waterproofing for reservoirs and chambers.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and of road works for access roads to
properties on slopes.
Monitors project costs against job estimates.
Prepares service orders and outside purchase requisitions.
Manages staff and facilitates onsite training.
Undertake related assignments.

Trade Tested Artisan (Plumber).
