Job Summary Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Civil or related discipline).
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the mining industry.
  • Proven experience in both underground and surface mining projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Concept, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility studies.
  • Strong knowledge of EPCM project environments.
  • Proficiency in project planning and cost control methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Professional registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) will be advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Study Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead and manage mining project studies (Concept, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Bankable Feasibility Studies).
  • Develop study execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated study outputs.
  • Ensure studies are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Technical & Operational Oversight
  • Oversee technical inputs for both underground and surface mining operations.
  • Review and validate engineering designs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, mining regulations, and client specifications.
  • Provide strategic input into mine planning, infrastructure development, and operational readiness.
Commercial & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage study budgets and monitor cost control.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present study reports and executive summaries to stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development and tender submissions where required.
Governance & Reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation and version control of study deliverables.
  • Maintain quality assurance and risk management processes.
  • Provide regular progress reporting to senior management and clients.
