Job Summary Structural Engineer to be based in our Hilton office in the KZN Midlands.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the design of predominantly structural related work.

Other key responsibilities will include, inter alia:
- Completion of technical designs.
- Structural inspections.
- Compilation of tender documentation in various formats.
- Management of projects and technical teams.
- Leading projects in terms of overall project management.
- Mentorship of junior technical staff in terms of design & engineering practices
- Keeping up to date with software and design tools to assist with design.

Qualifications
Minimum of a B Sc/B Eng or B Tech. degree in Civil Engineering.
Professionally Registered Engineer (Pr Eng / Pr Tech)

Experience
Have a minimum of 10 -15 years relevant post-graduation experience in a consulting engineering environment including design, and contract documentation.
Experience in bridge design, bridge inspections and temporary works design would be advantageous.
Have a thorough working knowledge of relevant design codes. Experience with international design codes would be an advantage.
Competent with modern structural analysis, design and drawing software, including AutoDesk products, Prokon, MS Office and MS Project.

Be able to lead projects and manage other team members.
Must have good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
A valid driverxe2x80x99s licence is essential.
Be prepared to work in the field.
