A Vacancy for a Structural Engineer / Technician to design, analyse, and ensure the structural integrity of buildings while collaborating with architects and draftsmen.
Note: Must be able to work unsupervised. ECSA registration is not required for this position.
Salary: R45 000 - R55 000 per month.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or technical diploma.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Structural Engineering, preferably in the Building & Construction industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., PROCON) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD). Familiarity with Revit is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of materials science and engineering standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Quoting: Prepare quotes for structural designs based on project specifications.
Structural Design: Create detailed designs for foundations, decks, and superstructures.
Analysis: Utilize software tools to perform structural analysis and ensure compliance.
Materials Selection: Recommend materials considering weight, strength, and corrosion resistance.
Documentation: Prepare technical reports and specifications for projects.
Project Management: Assist in planning, budgeting, and scheduling for timely project completion.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety and environmental regulations.
Quality Control: Participate in inspections to maintain design integrity during construction.
