This includes managing structural designs - designing, drafting, planning, signing off; and overseeing the quotation department. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with our skilled site technicians to deliver exceptional pre-cast concrete and steel structural elements. Elevate your career with us as we shape the future of construction excellence.Qualifications:A relevant Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Diploma in Technology (BTech) degree in Civil Engineering.Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) or a Professional Technologist (Pr.Tech.) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Professional Experience:Proven track record of designing structural elements for a diverse range of industrial, residential, and commercial buildings, demonstrating expertise in various structural systems and design methodologies.Extensive experience in preparing comprehensive and detailed architectural and structural drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.Exceptional problem-solving skills, adept at identifying and resolving complex technical challenges with innovative and practical solutions.Strong technical knowledge and expertise in structural engineering principles, including material properties, structural analysis, and load-bearing capacity.Fluency in both English and Afrikaans, enabling effective communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration, building rapport, and conveying technical information in a clear and concise manner.Proficient in project quotation and costing methodologies, ensuring project profitability and financial feasibility.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels, from technical discussions to project updates, maintaining transparency and building trust.Strong liaison skills, adept at collaborating with quality control (QC) and manufacturing teams to ensure project compliance with quality standards and design specifications.Proven leadership skills, capable of guiding and overseeing the work of design technicians and draftsmen, ensuring the timely completion of projects to high standards.Experience in conducting site inspections and collaborating with site staff as needed, ensuring project implementation aligns with design specifications and addresses any unforeseen challenges.Proficient in Prokon and AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks, utilizing these tools to create accurate and detailed structural drawings and models.Here is what you will be doing:As a key player, you'll spearhead a talented team of technicians, overseeing the design and approval of structural elements for industrial, residential, and commercial buildings.Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of skilled technicians, driving excellence in structural design.Collaboration: Forge connections by liaising with manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless coordination with quality control in the factory.Client Engagement: Be the bridge between our clients and the sales team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements.Innovation: Bring your creative flair to the table!
