The client is currently seeking a Structural and Civil Engineer, based in Northern Cape. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed designs for civil and structural components including foundations, retaining walls, steel structures, and concrete works.
• Perform structural analysis and modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., Prokon, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
• Ensure designs comply with local and international codes (SANS, Eurocode, ACI, etc.).
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks during civil and structural works.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide engineering sign-off and professional oversight on structural designs.
• Lead risk assessments and participate in HAZOPs and constructability reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure all designs and construction practices align with ESG goals and environmental regulations.
• Support water management, erosion control, and stormwater infrastructure design.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Professional Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng).
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in mining or heavy industrial projects.
• Experience with steel and concrete design in mining environments.
• Familiarity with tailings dam design, bulk earthworks, and mine infrastructure is advantageous.
