Key Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis on mechanical and structural components using industry-standard software (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, etc.).
• Assess material properties and perform fatigue, thermal, and dynamic analysis.
• Collaborate with design teams to identify and resolve potential stress-related issues.
• Provide technical support during product development, testing, and manufacturing phases.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and recommendations for design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ISO).
• Assist in the validation and verification of designs through simulation and testing.
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide expert advice on stress-related concerns.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in stress engineering, structural analysis, or a related field.
• Strong background in applying finite element analysis (FEA) and hand calculations for stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis.
• Experience with materials selection, failure analysis, and design optimization.
• Previous experience in industries like aerospace, automotive, energy, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Masters degree or further specialization in Stress/Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, etc.).
• Strong understanding of material science, mechanics of materials, and fatigue analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, or equivalent) are advantageous.
