The National Sea Rescue Institute will appoint an experienced Strategy and Business Planner to drive business development and sales performance through data management, to support the organisation's growth. The NSRI has 50+ stations, satellite stations and Lifeguard containers across a volunteer network spanning 1500+ volunteers.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field like, statistics, business informatics, business finance, econometrics.
An analytical mind, critical thinker and inclination for problem solving coupled with team leadership.
Highly proficient in data visualisation tools as well programming language and statistical analysis tools.
Usage and/or exposure to MS Fabric, MS Power Platform, MS Office including Advanced Excel highly desirable.
Competence to review, interpret and evaluate databases with strong modelling skills.
Track record of analysing large data sets (time series data, numerical and categorical data features).
Comfortable running budget plans and collaborating with other teams to accomplish goals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with representation at all levels of an organisation.
Experience working with Dynamics advantageous.
Experience in outbound call centre advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
Develop and maintain documentation for operational business processes relating to running the business.
Be a collaborative partner to various stakeholders across the business to drive improved efficiencies and more streamlined business and data management processes.
Create executive-level summaries and analysis that identify and make a compelling case for future opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and analyse opportunities to achieve the financial plan.
Support all areas of the business from a data strategy perspective including but not limited to the contact centre, general fundraising, marketing campaigns and operations.
Identify and define business growth opportunities relating to list providers, system enhancements, business processes and channel strategy with a view to revenue and market growth
Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting
Analyse data, identify trends and develop recommendations for strategies across business units to drive increased revenue
Support in monitoring sales performance across Fundraising teams and marketing initiatives.
Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of reports, dashboards and analysis tools
Distribute real time reports to enable measurement of contact centre performance, fundraising activities and marketing campaigns.
Produce annual sales forecasts and a detailed roadmap to achieve the revenue expectations.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to cross-functional teams.
Collaborate to define and track relevant metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals
Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for analysis.
Responsible for list health and development of a list plan to account for the movement in and out of the database.
Data Management
Responsible for all data queries across the business including donor profiling, lead sources, marketing lists, commission models and revenue performance.
Ensure completeness of information on the database, manage de-duping and inconsistencies, and maintain overall data quality and hygiene.
Responsible for manipulation of large data sets and data mining.
Identify and problem solve the source of data errors and inaccuracy.
Implement data hygiene monitoring and enhancement recommendations.
Update and manage data timeously and consistently in accordance with data policy and regulatory requirements (e.g. POPIA).
Accountable for POPIA compliance and the Opt-out register.
* Daily, weekly, monthly and annual analysis of data to inform planning & performance.
