Our Business Development team supports PwC and its clients by developing sales strategies, executing tactics, and securing the resources required to close sales opportunities. As part of the team, youxe2x80x99ll be managing sales pursuits and the sales pipeline, helping the account team in identifying, qualifying and closing sales leads, and coordinating the utilisation of all account management methodology and business development tools.

Purpose of Job

The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for developing integrated marketing experiences that resonate externally and help to grow the business. Marketing campaigns and activity should enhance and build PwCxe2x80x99s brand in Africa and drive strong commercial outcomes for the business. To deliver this mandate, the Strategic Marketing Manager works collaboratively with the business across Lines of Service, Industries and Platforms and with marketing teams at PwC Africa member firms to design compelling integrated marketing experiences.

This role supports the PwC Africa territory of firms and CMD teams at those firms. As the largest firm in the PwC Africa territory, this role also directly supports PwC South Africa and the PwC South Africa CMD team.

Marketing manager responsibilities include tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity. To be successful in this role, the Strategic Marketing Manager should have hands-on experience with turning creative ideas into effective marketing campaigns and working collaboratively with other departments to deliver successful sustained outcomes for these campaigns.

Role Description

Responsibilities:
  • Works with the Client Experience Lead to develop and deliver:
  • integrated, innovative and strategic marketing campaigns that position PwC Africa distinctively, contributing to improved conversion rates and creating a better user experience
  • integrated marketing campaigns that:
  • Leverage multiple channels
Link back to and reference different assets within campaigns

Evolve over time, in response to campaign metrics, feedback and the objectives of the campaign

Works directly with the business to create marketing strategies and plans which drive brand value and commercial impact

Understands client issues, marketing dynamics and competitive strategies and incorporates this information into marketing activities to drive high impact and differentiated programs

Produces valuable and engaging content for various channels that attract and convert our target groups

Collaborates with other Africa CMD departments and teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Works with the Digital Support Shared Services Centre and Design Shared Services Centre team to create outstanding digital campaigns and experiences that effectively engage and inspire PwC clients and prospects

Works with the Integrated Content team to develop strong and differentiated points of view and insights that help PwC Africa member firms to stand out in the market

Works with the Salesforce SSC to ensure that marketing campaigns deliver measurable outcomes and stronger relationships

Works with the Brand and Integrated Content team to ensure that marketing campaigns are brand-compliant and messages are clearly communicatedxe2x80x8b

Manages marketing budgets and accountability; produces accurate and timely data demonstrating impact as part of Africa CMD value reporting

Invests time and shows a keen interest in marketing campaign trends, practices, tools and skills

Assesses of performance of team and coaching of team members

Analyses competitorsxe2x80x99 marketing and ensures we have a unique positioning

Networks with the PwC Africa member firmsxe2x80x99 CMD teams and the PwC GMO and others to deliver effective marketing campaigns and practices
